There were 27 members, including 2 new members, plus 1 guest & a guest speaker at the Hammin' Sams November lunch and meeting held November 15, 2008 at Maggie Mae's restaurant in Colorado Springs.  Guest speaker was Urban Turzi of the organization One Nation Walking Together.  It is a charitable organization committed to making a positive difference in the lives of Native Americans.  One Nation sends trucks loaded with food, furniture, clothing, hygiene, medical and educational supplies to Native American Indian reservations west of the Mississippi River.  They are in need of more support from groups and individuals.  Hammin' Sams pledged our support and will add One Nation Walking Together to the list of charities we support.

Harry and Mary Russell were accepted into the chapter.  Welcome!  We're so glad to have you join us.      President Doug Moloney presented Ron and Dea Goldsberry with a beautiful "Special Recognition" plaque from the chapter.

The next meeting will be December 20, 2008 at the Holiday Village Clubhouse.  It will be our fourth annual Christmas party and we will again hold a Chinese auction as it is so much fun.
